Florida Man Caught Smoking Meth Assures Cops, “It’s Legal Now”

A Florida Man who was caught in the act of smoking meth told cops not to worry about it, because the laws have changed in his favor.

31-year-old Enzo Zabala-Cardozo was caught by officers in St. Petersburg with a glass pipe up to his lips, trying to light the contents inside on August 4th.

According to the arrest affidavit, Zabala-Cardozo was attempted to be talked to by police, but he began walking away after declaring “Meth is legal now.” He didn’t have any answers to when legislators legalized the highly addictive drug.

Well, it turns out that in the State of Florida, methamphetamine and the possession of it is still a crime, and most certainly not legal. Officers obtained the pipe, and a field test returned positive for – you guessed it – methamphetamine.

Zabala-Cardozo was busted on felony drug possession charges and a misdemeanor count of resisting police.

31-year-old Enzo Zabala-Cardozo was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a $2150 bond.

The arrest came at 3:50am Thursday, and shortly after, officers became informed that Zabala-Cardozo was free on bond in connection with his arrest at the end of May of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
